So, the much-hyped DSL line is finally in place in our house. It's actually been in our house since Tuesday, but I've been so busy that I didn't have time to hook my computer up to the house intranet until today. It's a good thing, too- if I had had all this earlier, I'd have spent even more time procrastinating! Our connection is fantastically zippy, and I'm so happy I can quit using the fusty command line interface program that I've been emailing with. All praise Eudora!

Last night I went to see a production of The Runner Stumbles, a courtroom/catholic clergy drama (in a nutshell). The only real appeal was that Emily was playing the lead; the rest of the cast was mediocre. Two of the audience members, a twinny, lithe touchy-feely couple, provided comic relief during the show: they continuously laughed derangedly at inopportune moments. During intermission there was much speculation as to whether they were high. Also amusing was the fact that Em played a nun- in real life she's bi, rather flamboyantly sexual, and smatters her conversation with off-color jokes.

Tonight, I'm planning another drama-filled evening: QU is going to see part two of Angels in America at the Loring Playhouse. I'm glad to have the chance to see both parts within a few weeks of each other (I saw part one last Thursday), but spending another 3 and a half hours with my butt in a cramped theatre seat isn't looking so hot at the moment.
